There's nothing like seeing children's faces when they first glimpse at their toys under the Christmas tree. Imagine the surprise when they find a big cuddly teddy bear dressed like a Santa. Besides Santa, Steiff Teddy Bears, made in Germany, have the longest tradition of teddy bear making since the early 1900s.  Margarete Steiff was confined to a wheelchair due to polio, but it did not stop her from being creative and innovative and starting a company that would become one of the largest teddy bear companies in the world.
