Chef Claus is a tribute to all the great Christmas cooks wo have made our lives richer with their wonderful recipes. Chef Claus is busy making gingerbread cookies, traditional at Christmas for hundreds of years. Originally, the dough was started weeks before baking, allowing the spices to mingle and develop.

 

Children love cutting the cookies into whimsical shapes – stars, animals, and gingerbread boys – then fancifully decorating them with nuts, raisins and frosting! Elaborate creations such as gingerbread houses and castles are used as tree decorations and even hung in windows.
